Description
What is it?
This is a LoRa & LoRaWAN dev board based around the HT-CT62 (ESP32-C3 + SX1262). The board is compatible with the Ai-on-the-edge-cam board and can be used as a LoRa & LoRaWAN shield for it.
Why did you make it?
The Ai-on-the-edge-cam board itself has lots of features, including battery support, deep sleep, and a camera that allows on-board object detection/recognition (same as any ESP32-S3 board). On-board image processing and LoRa/LoRaWAN go together like bread and butter because the output from the processed images is usually significantly smaller than the initial image and can be sent via LoRa/LoRaWAN, which is great for areas with no connectivity.
So I made this LoRa/LoRaWAN extension board to solve the problem:
‘I want object detection/recognition but I don’t have internet connectivity/power in the deployment area.’
What makes it special?
- Works with Arduino IDE.
- 863~928MHz Lora frequencies. (Tested with EU868)
- I2C slave & master examples available, so it can work with other Arduino boards as I2C slave.
- Compatible with the Ai-on-the-edge-cam board, but can also be used as a standalone device.
- External LoRa antenna.
- StemmaQT connector (3.3V only!).
- 4x M3 mounting holes.
